QI lower my car insurance deductible a week ago, would the insurance company accept my claim today?
Due to the bad snowy weather that has recently lower my car deductible from $ 1,000 to $ 250. My car just sliped today and hit a curve . I took it to get it checked , and the store told me it would be about $ 3000 to get the fix car. Will my insurance company seems to lower my deductible after the incident ? Do you cover damage ? Should I wait before trying to submit the claim ?
Never wait before making a claim that makes it look suspicious . If squawk then inform your insurance commission states. They made the change and pay on time , so you should be covered .
You get what you pay for, when you lower your deductible your rates go up - they make more money because they are taking more risks . It is fair and legal to pay .
You did not end its policy , and are paying additional premiums ... improved coverage should have been in place when you made the change . (Sounds like it's a good thing I did ) ... smart move on your part ... I should have asked an accident report in the local police department , your insurance company will ask you to submit any claims . That will show the date of damage ... and there will be no doubt as to ... No, absolutely not expect to file the claim .. do so immediately !
