Does the use of a credit counseling service for consolidated debt have a negative impact on your credit history ?
Does the Consumer Credit Counseling offer a good deal? If not, what no debt service ?
Thinking about going to credit counseling services . Someone told me that this is better than trying to make bankruptcy . Can you do this even if you have a mortgage ? What types of credit and loans may have ? What are the pros and cons ?
www.cccsstl.org website is a legitimate website for help with debt consolidation ? There are many shady companies , I wonder if anyone has been in this and if it really is a useful site or is just another scam .
I havent paid my bills in like a year. My credit report says they're charged off as a bad debt, and there are 3rd parties trying to collect on the debts. I have come into steady income and I would like to repay the debts. The 3rd party collectors want lump sum settlements and don't want payments. Can I use a consumer credit counceling service to setup a payment plan to pay these debts off? Or is it too late for that? I was considering a chapter 13 to get everything straightened up and on plan, but my coworkers think that's a bad idea since I will not be saving any money from the chapter 13 as far as my financial numbers work out. (disposable income vs total debt after 5 years of payments). I think one of my creditors (discover) may be preparing to sue me. They issued a complaint to a local courthouse, but the sherrif hasn't been able to track me down to serve the papers yet.
Does anyone know how good is Consumer Credit Counseling Service???
Any information would be great. I heard both good and bad about CCCS. Again any info would be great??? I am not late as of yet or applied with anyone but will need to soon just barely hanging on.
I need information on what is a good credit counseling company or debt reduction , and if anyone has personal experience or recommendations.
I am no longer able to make the minimum payments on my credit cards because I lost my job . I found a temporary job , but I'm doing half of what it was before . Besides, I do not know where to stop when the temporary work expires. Are the services of debt counseling is a good idea to try or do most people find they are in over your head file for bankruptcy . I see most charge a monthly fee for a debt plan . My credit card debt is around $ 18,000 .
I finished debt advice now informs me that I was probably better off listening bankruptcy . Any advice ?
So I have curious - what happens to your credit after all the negative elements cease to be reported ? Do you have to wipe the slate ? Sounds too good to be true . Also , meanwhile , does look better to potential lenders to see their collection accounts have been paid ? Even if you have gone to collection? I'm trying so hard to fix my credit and do not know where to start ! It's hard to do when you just do not have the funds available to pay it off only ! Any advice ? Can anyone tell me how this works?
